Reveal day

div align="center">The Lean Green Bean

Well I'm a couple days late on this months reveal, so sorry, I had it all written yesterday and then it timed out before I got to post it. Let's try for round two!
In January I got an amazing box from Megan over at http://www.irunforwine.net she is my culinary soulmate, we love lots of the same things. I think this definitely qualifies as my best box ever!
On to the good stuff lets talk about what I got. There was a chocolate bar with chili in it, I haven't opened it yet, Megan says its not as spicy as you would think. I'm currently munching on the butter cookies with chocolate, a great breakfast snack if I do say so myself. There was also some seafood sauce, which I'm planning on getting some shrimp for later today for the super bowl. I don't want to watch the game, but I do love commercials, and I want to see if I won the work squares.
She sent me a coupon for free wholly guacamole, which has been on my list of things to try, but can't usually justify making the purchase. That makes this perfect! Also since Megan had recently been to key west and included a box of key lime creme brûlée mix. Some Disney tea, and a little container of fancy spread that I'm trying to find the perfect vehicle for.
Now let's talk about the best part of box, it involves..... You guessed it, bacon! That little tiny bottle is bacon vodka! She told me about it and then transferred some from her large bottle into a small one for me. Very awesome because I haven't been able to find it locally, despite what their website says. Megan mentioned that she likes to put it in bloody Mary's. I don't normally like bloody Mary's, but the bacon vodka might just make them bearable. There was also a little package of bacon salt. I couldn't wait for that, I actually out it on my sandwich that night, I made a chicken and ranch pita sandwich with spinach and then sprinkled just a pink of the bacon salt on the sandwich. It was awesome, a little bit goes a long way.
Ne that you've heard about my goodies, go check out Megan at http://www.irunforwine.net and to see what I sent out to my foodie penpal for the month check out http://healthygirlgamer.com/

This is an awesome program that is fun and easy so I have included some details about the program below and you can click the button at the beginning of this post to sign up with Lindsey over at the lean green bean.

Here’s a detailed explanation of the program:

-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you can choose to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
- Foodie Penpals is open to US, Canadian residents & UK residents. Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa. So, I’m going to keep two separate lists and match US w/ US and Canada w/ Canada!
